Disability Care Technician; It is defined as the human power that makes it a habit to support disabled and needy people in life, to free them from anxiety about the future, to spend their free time productively, to be sensitive and protective towards their own body and living spaces, by using the disabled care training and techniques they have received.

The definition of the concept of disability is made as follows according to the disability law: Persons who have difficulties in adapting to social life and meeting their daily needs due to the loss of their physical, mental, spiritual, sensory and social abilities to various degrees, either congenitally or later for any reason, with protection, care, rehabilitation, consultancy and support. person who needs their services.

Establishment

Opening a Program

Proposals for opening programs within vocational schools in higher education institutions were examined at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 06/07/2017 and; The Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Program was opened pursuant to Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880.

Recruiting Students

The proposals of higher education institutions to open programs within vocational schools and to admit students to existing programs in the 2018-2019 academic year were examined at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 17/05/2018 and Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880, 7/d-2 and 7. Articles /h, Article 4 of Law No. 3843 and Foreign Language Teaching and Teaching with Foreign Languages ​​in Higher Education Institutions In accordance with Article 8 of the Regulation on the Principles to be Followed, the decision was made and it was deemed appropriate to admit 60 students to the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Program.
